Rositsa Getsova was born in 1969 in Sofia, Bulgaria. In 1994 яhe graduated from the National Academy of Arts - Sofia, with a major in Poster;Since 1998 she has been realizing solo exhibitions: "Not Functional", "Give Peace A Chance", Arosita Gallery, Sofia (1999); “Abstract” Arch & Art Galerie Palina, Vienna (2007); Tea Ceremony, installation, Arosita Gallery, Sofia (2009); “TETRIS” sculpture, video “Holding your breath”, photo installation, Galerie GEDOKmuc, Artist in residence der Gedok Muenchen (2011); “Never the same”, Bulgarian Cultural Institute, Czech Republic, Prague, (2013); Save, Arosita Gallery, Sofia (2013); ROOMS, Spring Festival of Contemporary Art, Blagoevgrad (2015); No Resistance, Arosita Gallery, Sofia (2016); Serdika Gallery “Everything will be alright” (2018).

Rositsa Getsova is a visual artist who treats the ephemeral in objects, installations and video. She works at Arosita Gallery. She is an author with a proven presence on the Sofia art scene and is an artist, curator and gallery owner. She is a representative author of the trends of contemporary art.

Since 2007, Rositsa Getsova has been an Art Director, and curator of exhibitions and events for contemporary art at Arosita Gallery. She is the organizer of the "International Glass Festival - Sofia" (2010 - 2016).

The Herbarium project explores the work environment in contemporary culture in which ideas are created and exchanged. The focus of Herbarium is to compile a collection of sealed creative energy in boxes (40х40х10, 40x20x10 or 20х40х10) of different generations of artists around the world. The contents of each box are accompanied by a description and a sound file with the artist's voice. The artists, invited by the curator of "Herbarium" could choose two new participants - so the project traces the exchange of creative energy in the artworld. The development of the collection has no time limits, it grows exponentially with each new participant until the final exhibition is announced. The H Talks series (video portraits of the artists) are shot during the preparation of each presentation of the Herbarium collection in the artists work environment and studios. All the information, gathered in the process of developing the collection, will be available to all researchers, curators, gallery owners, students or art lovers who are interested in the less visible mechanisms through which contemporary culture functions.
