Merve Kılıçer (1987)
Merve Kılıçer (Tr) works with past knowledges and translates them into contemporary experiences. Her practice is combined into spatial installations or performances comprising videos, objects, sound as well as artist books or images created with traditional technics of print making. She often creates in collaboration with other artists and forms a collective language. Currently works with KABA HAT artist collective, Eat House cooking collective and lives in Rotterdam as part of W1555 artist community.
She holds a MFA degree from Piet Zwart Institute in 2019 (Rotterdam), after studying at the Sabancı University (Istanbul) and at the Accademia Di Belle Arti (Rome). Her work has been shown at Stichting Sign (Groningen), Hotel Maria Kapel (Hoorn), Corridor Project Space (Amsterdam), Swimming Pool (Sofia), Freiburg Museum für Neue Kunst (Freiburg), and at the 14th Istanbul Biennial.
